Paper Beads
The Widows:
Every time you purchase a necklace, not only are you providing meaningful employment for Ugandan widows, you are also helping them invest in their communities.
Making the Beads:
Paper bead necklaces are made from recycled newspaper and magazines that would have otherwise ended up in a landfill. The paper is cut into very thin, triangular strips and then tightly rolled on needles to form the shape of the bead. The bead is then coated in sealer to ensure their durability.
